Waterside Cafe at Branbridges

Very lovely surroundings many families are here for kayaking and camping. The cafe is small but serves a good range of dishes. The outdoor tables overlook some greenery and it’s a pleasure to dine here.

This café is an absolute gem! The staff are wonderfully welcoming, and the fact that it’s dog-friendly makes it even better. Tucked away in a beautifully hidden spot, it feels like a special little retreat. Their vegetarian options are outstanding — fresh, flavourful, and thoughtfully prepared. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Fantastic dog & child friendly cafe in a beautiful setting. Food is amazing and staff are always friendly and so accommodating. I had a lovely breakfast today with all local produce and best of all I was able to have it gluten & dairy free. I would definitely recommend going.

A firm favourite. Very popular/busy. Tasty smashed avocado on sourdough with roasted tomato and mushroom( although too much red onion in the smashed Avacado) Dog friendly and lovely decked area for when the sun shines. Parking. There’s a nice circular walk along the river from here.

We've been here twice this week, once as an adult group and today we took our Granddaughter.All our food was lovely and arrived promptly.Staff were friendly and helpful.I love the fact you can have freshly squeezed orange juice with your meal. We took cakes away too for later on in the day.This place is popular with dog walkers and today we saw two well behaved mutts enjoying a sausage each bought specifically for them .We loved seeing the chickens and goat in the summer too and were sad this week to hear the chickens have already been rehomed and the goat is going to a new home shortly too If you have time a stroll along the river is really pleasant. Waterside can be busy and obviously there is a limit to inside tables however there are plenty of tables outside if good weather permits and its lovely to sit outside in the summer.

I really like it here and have visited about 3 or 4 times now. The sausage bap is absolutely 20/10—completely delicious! The staff are always really kind, helpful, and friendly. It is very dog-friendly; my dog was made very welcome and agreed that the sausages were delicious (even if he lacked the patience to let his cool down!). I do sometimes wish there was a slightly bigger choice of soft drinks, but that’s not really an issue given how incredible the food is. Sorry about the muddy floor last time—it’s great that you are so welcoming to walkers!
